Alcohol should be illegal. Sex is fine if protection is used (unless the aim is to have a baby, obviously).

You can't illegalize alcohol though. People will find a way to get it. If they have to they'll find a way to remove the ethanol from their gas and drink that. Or they'll drink hand sanitizer. Or better yet, black market booze once more!

That's what you think. On 4/20 when I was in high school I swear 2/3s of the school skipped school to smoke weed. How mainstream is that?

Yeah, lots of people experiment at that age, but they tend to stop afterward.

You have no idea. I've met so many people in their 40s and 50s that still smoke weed it's not even funny.

Still a smaller number than those who experiment at a younger age, and of course people are hardly likely to do all that in public - that fact in itself makes it less mainstream.

In the old supported accommodation that I used to live in, there was a guy there who couldn't do without sex and alcohol. I don't get it either

So yeah newsflash! Drinking is less mainstream, at least in America.
