I disagree....despite the fact that I do indeed have lines and stupid hair.

To be perfectly honest, I've browsed through the member photos and very few people stood out as anyone I would suspect was not NT.

do u think this guy has got the wrong end of the stick?

it could also just be inappropriate facial expressions or lack off in certain situations which makes us stand out sometimes.

I know people with AS though who have experience a lot of prejudice from normal people and have been avoided so there could be some truth in what he says. do you think it could just be our behaviour which repels and makes some people avoid us?

I don't look anything like him, and I'd be surprised if I looked anything like any of you.
Though I know a girl online who looks disturbingly similar to me. We call each other almost-twin. I think, however, it's more to do with ethnicity than the fact that we are both on the spectrum.
I'd guess it's probably more related to facial expressions (or lack thereof).

OMG! This guy is hilarious. I think he has a point. Although right now I can't stop thinking about hats...
Not all people with AS have physical features but some do.
I think people can tell someone is different by what they wear, how they act and any other peculiar behaviour.

this guy is so awesome ! looking at his face i think i understand a bit better why people sometimes just laugh when i speak...it's because the facial expression is the same when joking and when being serious, to them, so they can't quite remain serious anymore once they've heard me tell something funny, the same expression is still on my face and they are reminded of the funny part all the time...He does that to me,so maybe that's it. Well as for the physical thing i agree, there is something. the jaw, the forehead, maybe the general shape of the face? then that would mean the shape of our skull makes us look different. do we have a different bone structure? i have the same wrists too but i'm a girl so people don't mind...

I have the same wrists too, but I honestly don't think there is any truth in what he is saying. Having said that, I like watching his videos and Linus generally has a lot of interesting things to say. And he is a funny guy.

Well that sucks :(

If we look different then we will get rejected by people.

The lines are probably from squinting every time we miss the joke.

Interesting theory.

My facial expressions suck.

I call my large forehead "The Blup",

and that guy is funny! :D

I have those wrists too. As well as those really long fingers. A couple are bent really inward too. But I have dark rings under my eyes instead of lines.
I have a very weird shaped and small head so I prefer messing my hair up so you can't tell. When it's brushed flat it looks like I'm missing some skull density.
I have blank eye stare too.
And even though many people with autism/ AS look their age or older there are some of us that look really young. I know someone with AS who is 33 and he likes like he's in his early twenties and I get away with telling people I'm 12 but I'm really 24.

Not necessarily. Some people can't pick up on differences like that.
That type of thinking isn't good.
I could have a full beard (woman btw) and people don't treat me any differently.

I'm 41 and I get taken for anything from 17 (only once, and I was 38 at the time) to 33. I think most often I'm taken as being in my late 20s.

This happens in person and over the internet.

Well, I was recently determined by about 20 different people to be about 15 years younger than I am. And YEAH, that video was funny. Though poorly done, it is clear that they are acting and playing, here is ANOTHER video: It is nice all the same
