I am going to be going through tests to see if i have a learning disability and Aspergers or whatever else they find. It is 6 hours of testing and was wondering what kind of tests did you go through before you got a diagnosis? I guess i am just nervous and wonder what the tests will be like before i go.

Hi Nikki

I'm not sure if you've spotted the "Set of scientific tests related to Autism Spectrum Disorders" post that's stickied at the start of the General Autism Discussion forum (http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt113459.html) - it might help with looking at the AS side of things. As for potential learning disabilities, I'm afraid I don't have a clue.

I hope it all goes smoothly and whatever the conclusions, that they are able to help you into the future.

*hugs*

A lot of talking. Nobody will be drawing blood or putting you into a scanner. There is currently no available physical test for these things.

Thanks for the info, i am nervous and was hoping alot of the testing was answering questions on paper. I would rather take tests writing stuff down rather then talking, but i am sure i will get through it. *hugs*
