I keep chewing on the inside of my cheek, all day, and sometimes at night. I have been doing this forever! I keep doing it until it becomes very painful, or starts bleeding excessively. How can I stop this? I do it more when I am under more stress.

This may sound crazy, but if you can't get rid of this obsession, shift it to something else.

For instance, it's pretty easy to get obsessed with curling your hair with your finger and eventually making knots out of it. Try shifting to that. It's stupid but less harmful.

I used to do this too but only during sleep and I still have some ridges on the inside of my cheeks from it. I found I did it more often when under stress or have some form of anxiety. If you do it while awake I'd advise you to make a conscious effort to stop and as time passes you should find it happening less and less in your sleep. I did this and also replaced it with simply clenching my teeth, since they both involve movement of the jaws it was easier for me.

I can't help that one, my mother did it, i do it...but once there is dead skin in the inside of your cheecks and lips, what are you gonna do? leave it there? it's sensory torture to not take it out with your teeth :P The thing is , it makes me look weird, so i try to not do it when talking to adults-in-suits, but really i have to catch myself doing it before i can stop...
I actually enjoy the little crunch noise my teeth do when they meet through the skin so...yeah it's a stim IMO. Hard to stop..

Put a resin band on your wrist and snap it whenever you do it. Negative reinforcement.
