Im in a financial crisis, going to be on the street soon, do we fend for ourselves? i was denied disability

well, being the US... not really... you got to jump through hoops and basically be a total f*****g gimp to get anything. I have already been at the point where I basically just want death to america. Still am to be honest. I myself am actually employed now but my family still cant get any support or anything. Then there is the fact that there is this single guy with no kids I know personally who earns 100k a year and is on f*****g welfare. That pig is just more evidence as to how f****d up the system is. Yeah it may be construed as racism on my part but I believe in a different sort of f*****g equality, one where you get the same EXACT benefits regardless of race/gender/etc. You shouldn't be able to get special scholarships for that stuff for example.Everyone should have the opportunities for the same ones.


(there edited out black because people whined that it was racist when it really wasn't according to my own feelings. Oh well. s**t happens, I was in bad mood, whatev.)

Well, you sure went out of your way to mention that he was black, and to defensively disclaim racism, so yeah...my vote goes with racist.

***Oh, and check with your state vocational rehabilitation services. They can be a little easier to deal with than the SSI people.

You've got to be more than physically impaired. You've got to be on pain killers and be going to an actual doctor to be considered disabled anymore. Also, apparently physical therapists don't count as doctors. It's really tough now. I really hope things work out for you. Just throwing this out there: fast food places hire just about everyone. Possibly not for you, but at least it could be a form of income for now. :/ Good luck to you.

I give up on America. I love the people but the way it has neglected citizens makes me wish for it to be disbanded.

I mentioned it because it was relevant to my point. There should be true equality not special provisions BASED on race or gender. IE: If the law says you can only get on welfar if you earn less than such and such a year adjusted for how many children you support , the same values should be exactly the same across ALL RACES AND GENDERS. It obviously isn't though in the United states of stupidity however.

On a side note a huge reason the welfare system got depleted in the US is because there are f*****g idiots out there who will try to have as many kids as is possible just so that they can abuse the system. I swear there should be a f*****g tax for having way too many, or a tax break for those who 'breed responsibly'.

...and that's exactly why people are (accurately) calling you a racist.

haaa and if I was actually racist I wouldn't be friends with the guy. So the perception of me being racist is inaccurate to say the least. I could change the post and word it a bit differently. Was in a bad mood about him bragging bout it though.

Actually, the law is the same for everyone. If someone is really on welfare and earning $100,000 a year, they're cheating the system.

The reason that so many black people relative to their total population are legitimately on welfare is because in general, black people make less money and have fewer assets than white people. This has been scientifically demonstrated (link).



This didn't happen, it was Republican scaremongering to push for welfare reform. It doesn't even make sense that anyone would do this. It's a myth:

I know plenty of sexist men who have women as friends. I know homophobes who have gay friends. I know racists who have friends who are people of color. This is not a useful shibboleth for determining whether someone has oppressive attitudes.

You said something racist, it was pointed out to you. Why try to deny it? If you are truly not racist and do not want to be racist, wouldn't it make more sense to understand why what you said is racist and move on from it than try to defend the idea that you cannot possibly be racist?
