Tomorrow I'm going to get my hair done which is fine. I'm tagging along to my sisters mother in-laws doctor appointment. The last outing of us 3 (Me/Erica AKA sister and her mother in-law) lead to Erica saying something rude and me having a meltdown crying. :-( I don't know how to approach this. I guess keep talking to a minimum. I don't want to discuss the doctor (it's a sensitive topic) and don't wnat to make her emotional so that's a NO. Perhaps mention my college? I am taking Moby Dick (I have to read for class) so that'll give me something to do at her doctor. I just don't want a repeat of meltdown in front of my sister (as is usual.) :-( Perhaps cancel and say I don't feel good? I'm at a lose!

I would apologize for the meltdown. Remember to forgive yourself and move on. You might have meltdown again. Having a meltdown is not in the same category as shoplifting, assault, or abusing others.

There's no need to apologize to your sister for something that you can't help.

My experience has been that most people don't want to relive such uncomfortable moments and apologizing would just bring it all up again.

Why do you think apologizing is a good plan?
