Seems like the only connection I can make with humans is laughter. Then everything else is just nothing and doesn't make any sense at all. I guess there is that saying "laugher is the spice of life"....sounds like a snapple commercial.

Anyways, anyone else find laughter the only connection they have with others?

How can I develop other types of connections?
What other connections are possible?

don't worry, all the other emotions are a waste of time
we can't love everyone but you can laugh with or at everyone

I'm the same way, I didn't use to think that I was, but I'm coming to realize that I really only connect with people though humor...

For the most part that's okay, but there are times it causes problems... humor may be the spice of life, but it turns out most people don't like it when you "spice" up a funeral.

you can come to my funeral...which should be a joyous occasion if it is to be carried out on my behalf.

I never understood emotions, but I'm trying to learn them because I've made many embarrassing mistakes. I still don't know how to detect annoyance for example, and I get boredom confused with tiredness. Also, how do you tell if someone is happy? I don't look at faces so I can't see if they're smiling or not.

I've tried making a list of characteristics for each emotion, but it's not easy.

I am not sure I connect with people through humor because I do not know what a connection is. I do find in many situations that humor is a good way for me to participate socially, however.

if I find us laughing at the same time I find that as a connection.

though many times I have to hold back a laugh because I see other people didn't get the joke but I am not always succesful and then it is an awkward laugh followed by wierd faces.

you can even make people laugh simply by doing a funny laugh....or really any funny noise could probably make someone laugh. Even funny faces can make someone laugh....

i find I enjoy laughter if I can laugh a long with it, but not if it is an accusing laugh like "hey, you're stupid."
I nearly only get the laugh a long now because I have trained my humor to only recipricate that.

Many people do not get my humor though and it goes right over there head.
Though I dont get many jokes sometimes people make and then I have to ask why it was funny or I don't get it.
So it goes both ways...
