Can't find anyone locally

I'm frustrated.

I've not been looking for long, but still fact remains that I'm having no luck what-so-ever in finding others locally, the local social group for AS/ASD people was a bust, I've found no one on AS/ASD forums either - I know that there are others on the spectrum in Newcastle, but I just can't find them. My drive to come to forums like this and to find people local to me was to see how I compare to others, although this forum has been helpful it would be far more useful to see others in the flesh, and yes I would hope to maybe make some friends too.

Am I REALLY so strange as to want to socialise, specifically to socialise with others like me?

I haven't found anyone my age who's local enough to hang around with either. I was specifically hoping there would be males and females in their twenties/ early 30's at my support group but there isnt anyone from Lincoln who fits that description as of yet.

Now that i dont live anywhere near where anyone knows me i think i might go to my first autism meetings for folks in my area

I would say that it's completely normal desire to want to meet and socialise with others like you.

I don't think so at all. I have such a longing to be friends with people like me, and more than half the reason for actually joining the site was in hopes that I would find some Aspies at least in the same state. I don't have anyone to talk to about AS issues, and I know it will be a long time before I even get noticed on this site well enough to do so in even the slightest degree. Being able to call or text and hang out with someone I could vent to who could really relate would take a huge load off my shoulders I think.

Same thing here, I live in a Rural Area and there is no one I have found no one in Phelan, California.

Yeah, I only hung out with a WP user once (Quartz11) and that was when he was on a random road trip that just so happened to be in my area. Regularly, I think there's emuman100 that's about 2 hours from where I am. I'm near Harrisburg Pennsylvania and I know most of the users I interact with are either in California or Europe. D:

Annoyingly it's not just locally I can't find people, but in surrounding areas there is no one it seems too...granted that may be less true if I knew my geography better. It'd be much easier if I drove and if we aspies were more sociable!

Are you anywhere near Delaware?

I have an uncle who lives in Rehobeth. It takes about 3 and a half hours to get to his house from mine. Why?

Purchase lives in Delaware and i hope she doesnt mind me mentioning this but her parents just bought a beach house in rehobeth so me and her might be staying there sometime. We're going to go to Grotto's pizza.

I'll be visiting my uncle for a week in August. I dunno if you'll be there by then but I figured I'd bring it up.
