Has anyone been misdiagnosed as being on the bipolar spectrum before being correctly diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum? I was diagnosed as Bipolar NOS (not otherwise specified) and the doctor says most likely close to Bipolar II. I am wondering how common this is. And were you able to convince your psychiatrist to re-evaluate his or her diagnosis of you, or did you have to go to someone else for a second opinion?
