I'm writing a book.I have aspergers.I am thinking about writing a character in it with aspergers.I am trying to find a support group partly because of it.The back story so far is he is from a country based off Germany and he's a supremacist fir his clan of gypsies(they are all autistic). He thinks the whole world should be autistic. He is a alchemist(mystic chemist in my novel) and a doctor. He is a comic relief character. He is clumsy and takes things very literally. His clan was captured by the evil nation that everyone is fighting against.I'm trying to relate some explosive power he has to a meltdown but I'm not sure yet.I was just wondering what is the opinion of other people like me.

I write stories too and in every single one, there is always at least one character that has AS.

When I think of an aspie character in a novel, I think "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time". It doesn't actually say that the main character has Asgerpers in the book but the main character's behaviour implies he does. I like the idea of your character being very literal and in my opinion everyone has a little bit of Asgerpers in them :) Does your character dislike loud sounds? haha

I personally think it is a good idea, not enough authors have protagonists with Asperger's. You have my backing on this.
