I drop things all the time because of clumsiness and malcoordination.

But sometimes I just drop things. Not even heavy things. I’ll be holding it all of a sudden I can’t. I know it is happening but I can’t do anything to stop it happening.

Does anyone have this?

Yes I occasionally do this. It's not like a sudden spasm that causes me to drop it, just carelessness or not gripping it tightly enough or something. I don't know.

Yes I do this too. Also sometimes my hands feel really weak for no reason so I can't unscrew the lid off a bottle or pick my laptop up with one hand.

I drop things when I'm thinking about something else or if I get distracted-as if it's not in my hands anymore simply because I thought of something else to do, lol. It's embarrassing, I always drop pieces of paper and such, I've also dropped a full soda right on the carpet walking off-I completely forgot I was holding it and went to move too quickly to pick something else up.

It happens to me if I don't pay attention, as well. I just end up dropping stuff for no reason at all... and because of that, when I'm given something important to carry, I clutch it with all my might to prevent any accidents.

There is a reason I don't usually smoke little cigars when working on my car: I put the lit end of a Davidoff Cigarillo in my mouth! Call it more forgetfulness than being clumsy, but I guess it counts.

oh, important things I just wind up setting down elsewhere and forgetting where I put them. I always set them down thinking "I'll put this here so nothing happens to it"... then I forget where it is within a few minutes.

... ... ... try working on a swamp of a building site, whilst walking across maybe 20-30ft of mud and slush carrying the -only- set of van keys to your bosses van which also have his house keys on them. Somehow, and I still don't know how or why I dropped them without noticing. Try explaining that one to your boss

Done stuff like that. Though your boss is dumb to put his house keys and his van keys together. Especially if it is for work. Let me guess, he has sat nav with 'Home' preset. A thief’s wet dream.

I do too. The first time I remember it happening was my son when he was a month old. luckally he was less then three feet of a carpeted floor, but just "bam" I dropped him and it scared the crap out of me. I have dropped plates, smashed sewing machines, it is very rare, but when it happens for some reason I seem to be holding something breakable! Very annoying!

Seems like the lighter (and therefore more delicate) something is the more likely I am to drop it.
