whenever it is raining I go outside and stare at the rain in amazement. At school i enjoy sitting near the windows so i can just stare at the rain. Is anyone else upsessed with rain?

I love rain, the sound of rain, and will also go outside to stare in amazement at rain, but, I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with rain.

I've always loved the rain. It's so easy to sleep with that noise drowning out everything. I especially love huge storms when it's just pouring out. The air smells so nice and feels cool(I don't like it when it's hot out). When it rains it's also darker out(I don't like bright light)... It also drives people indoors(I don't like crowds). For some reason, I don't mind too much getting wet, so even getting caught in the rain isn't so bad. It generally would make me have an excuse to stay home, which I'd prefer to do anyway. :)

I'm not really obsessed with rain, but it's fasinating and enjoyable.

I certainly love the rain - all kinds from misty rains to storms.

I too feel happier when it is cloudy and rainy, as opposed to sunny and bright! There was a spring a few years ago where it rained every day straight for a month and I loved it, even though my basement flooded.

Same here! Everyone around me is always like, "Oh, it's so beautiful today!" when it's sunny, but I hate it when it's sunny because I can't look outside without my eyes hurting. (It's sometimes very annoying to live in the bay area.) I find the clouds and the rain beautiful instead. I don't always like being OUT in the rain, though, because I'm likely to get too cold.

I love rain. The look of it, the sound of it, the lovely damp-fresh smell in the air.
There's something about watching and hearing rain running off roofs and gutters and making puddles on the ground that gives me a strange, peaceful, half-happy/half-sad feeling, like it's a memory from somewhere that I can't quite put my finger on.

Yes I love the rain, particularly the smell afterwards. But most of all I am obsessed by thunderstorms. Whatever I am doing I have to stop and watch the lightning, and the closer it gets the better I feel. I count the seconds between the lightning and the thunder to see if it is getting closer or moving away, and always feel disappointed if it is not heading in my direction. When it gets really close the thunder changes to a crackling sound and that is the best!!

The lightning in a storm is the most spetacular thing I can think of. I have always stopped to watch storms roll in. I don't mind sunny days. My sun related 'wierd effect' is aural not visual and it roars even on rainy days, but I will watch it rain as long as I can, every time. The sounds and smells and pleasant sight of rain capture me in a way nothing else does.

I love the rain, but I can't get out in it very well.

Rain is good but obessed with it? No I'm. Though I am obessed with hot water flowing or filling up a tub. I hate the cold but rain is calming so that was I like it but here in Ga US it hasn't been raining for a whole week.

I just thought of someting else to enter as evidence. I put 'rain' in my sig as a symbol of hope if that counts.

I don't believe I'm obsessed with rain either, though. It's just someting I love ... obsession for me would be all the thirsty plants that the rain comes to help.

I love clouds and rain. Otherwise, it's just too damn bright out for me and it hurts unless I wear my sunglasses (and even then I have to squint). I like the sound of rain, the smell of rain, the look of it... just so long as I've got cover, when it's raining I'm as happy as a lark. I don't like being out IN the rain because I hate being wet, but I do love sitting on my porch when it rains and reading.

Tigerfire: Oh, the irony. Over here in northern GA at least, we had this lovely huge rainstorm last night. 8)

Rain strips away the mental armor I have constructed to deal with the real world and makes me feel very vulnerable. It makes me want to spend the whole day in bed. Sunshine gives me confidence.

I thrive on the Rain. I love the look and the smell of it. The Neighbourhood Brats also stay inside, when it's raining outside. I can take Chico for a Walk at any time of the day, when it's Raining. :D
