YOU ARE INVITED to a talk on Asperger’s Syndrome and Psychological Type.

Tomorrow, September 9th, 9:00-11:30 AM


The program will compare and contrast two vastly different ways of being. It will address the following questions.

*Are faulty criteria being used to diagnose AS?

*Does contemporary (non-Jungian) psychology have a bias toward seeing disability in almost everybody?

*Are people being diagnosed with AS solely - or even mostly - on the basis of their divergence from the social norm?

*Is AS ever an appropriate diagnosis? What does this mean in terms of type development?

*Which types are involved in diagnosing AS, and which types are most often diagnosed?




A $5.00 donation will be requested from nonmembers.


Note: The program is based on a paper which I wrote for the Journal of Psychological Type. For those who can’t come to the talk, but would like to find out more, a copy of the paper will be available. Please leave me a private message with your email address and I’ll send you a PDF. It won't be right away because at this point the Journal owns the copyright, so I'm not allowed to give away copies. After the paper is published, I can give away as many as I like. It may be several months, so please be patient.

Sorry, it's a bit too far for me (to use an understatement). This sounds very interesting, though, but it's too bad the random WP member won't be anywhere near close enough to attend, especially on such short notice.
