Hi :D really new at this and am not sure if doing this right my daughter has just been diagnosed with aspergers, grandfather has aspergers undiagnosed, and my husband believes he has aspects. Would love to speak to people who know more on this and maybe can help with me to understand everything.

Danni71,

Welcome. What would you want to know? There are "normal" people here with relatives with AS, and people here with AS. This is probably the best place to ask your questions.

BTW If I don't have AS, I certainly have a lot of the attributes and life experiences AS people do!

First thing though, if you have a child, their development will almost CERTAINLY not hit the milestones. Most AS people apparantly beat them, and some seem to be behind, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't be plenty smart for the first day of school.

Second thing.... AS people CAN act kind of wierd, etc... (Stims, apparant lack of feeling, etc) hopefully non of that will discourage you in any way.

Steve
