Do you cringe when you hear people something inappropriate?

I have been known to say some pretty inconsiderate things in my time, but never once have I ever done it intentionally, and it has never been meant to crush someone and destroy their confidence and just this weekend I was sitting in a pub when someone said to their daughter "salad tonight for tea fatty"

Now, this 8 year old girl certainly is not fat, she is slim and does kick-boxing...

I can see it now, and people wonder why young girls these days develop anorexia.

Now, I do not know in the context it was said, or their home-life but have you ever overheard something that not even you would say?

Yes, but I would not repeat it here, it was just too disgusting. Let's just say that I overheard a neighbor call his sweet little girl what was supposed to be an affectionate nickname, but it made me want to call Child protective services.
