Meltdowns/almost meldowns in aspies in their teens?

Is there something odd with meltdowns when an aspie is in their teens? Because once last week I had a bit of a meltdown and I came close to having another one tonight. Well I guess the thing tonight wasnt that close to a meltdown but it was still a very unhappy me. I never have had meltdowns since I was little and all of the sudden it seems I get them or feel like I want to. I dont know why though. The cause is always crowds of people. Maybe its cause Im getting older and being out in places alone mmore but Im not sure. Is there something with aspie teens that makes them less able to control feeling like they will have a meltdown?

I got more meltdowns when I got to my teens because I was older and it was maybe the hormones and plus I had anxiety. I hardly had them as a kid. I still cried and stuff so I guess that be considered one. My mom said I have always had outbursts and hit or threw stuff so I guess I did then but it wasn't as frequent.

I don't know if they ever go away. I am in my forties and still have meltdowns.

Many Aspies have meltdowns at a later age than most people. Some even have meltdowns as adults. It's part of Asperger's.

I havent had one since I was 11. What gives?
