Put fifty cents into a newspaper machine, then take all the papers and sell them to people. You'll be making money while stickin' it to the man, Abbie Hoffman style.

Note: I've never actually done this.

Yes, but there's no pretense that the guy giving the card is the same person as the one who wrote it.

Seriously, let's give this guy some real advice...

How about baby-sitting? Can you do yardwork? How about newspaper delivery?

I agree with callista - your best bet is probably baby sitting. i think you could also expand that to pet sitting and walking dogs. if you live in a neighborhood you could prolly get your parents to help you spread the word to your neighbors that you're interested in helping out with stuff for a small fee. and i know you probably aren't looking for a job per se but in the US you can start working at 15 if you have the right paperwork i think... i forget what the card is called lol cause i just waited til i was 16... well anyways good luck with your search for $$$! =)

People do get paid to write. Find a place that publishes the sort of stuff you write. Use what they publish as a guide to what they will be interested in buying. Make your writing as good as you can. Check out Writer's Market online or at the library or a bookstore to find out what they want and how to submit it. Introductory chapters will give you the basics.

Finding out if they like your stuff will take a lot of work on your writing, but not much money.

I should ask what you're planning to do with the $134.96, or maybe I shouldn't.

I know of a way for a 15-year-old girl to make money. Unfortuately, I don't think I'm allowed to say it here.

I'm good at creative writing as well. Often times when I contribute to a Create-a-fanfic people think it's gob-smacking! I've thought about doing creative writing for a living, and it seems like a good way to go, given the way creative writing works (y'know, you can work alone, the location can be anywhere... in fact the only real problem I can see is the dead-line).

Here's an idea: If you're good at poems then write a poem compilation. If you're good at fiction, write a fiction story. If you're good at short stories, write a compilation of short stories. If you can convince your parents to approach a publisher you're on your way, but I have no idea of the processes involved with getting a book published (such as whether it costs just to put forth the idea to a publisher). Other than that, I'm all out of ideas.

One advantage of writing for an aspie is that they're just buying the stuff you write. Your personality doesn't matter and your age probably wouldn't either. My favorite science fiction writer was winning awards for years before she let people know she was actually a woman. She wrote under a man's name and nobody had ever seen her or even talked to her on the phone.

The other side of this is that your writing has to be good, and that means work, not just talent. Magazines are an easier place to start than books, and there's magazines on almost any subject. I don't know anything about how it works online.

They often want to see something you've published, so it might be worthwhile to get something published without getting paid if necessary. Make sure everything you do is your best, because it's the only thing of you they're ever going to see, or care about.

When I was fourteen years old, I decided to make personalized cards for people on the computer just in time for the holidays. I charged a base price of three dollars and an extra fifty cents for glitter, an envelope, or anything else they may have wanted. Anyway, my idea worked extremely well. My gym teacher (who was also the school's wrestling coach) even wanted one that showed school spirit. He described all the details to me and when I gave it to him he was so impressed that he turned it into the bookstore lady to make T-shirts out of it. And that led me to get the school's biggest award. So I ended up making over $100 and earning an award that only 16 out of 3,600 people were able to get. Plus I could also wear my design as a T-shirt! lol

An underground alternative to this is to print out a copy yourself and make several photocopies of it. Not anything fancy, just a few sheets of paper stapled together like a pamphlet. Then you could try selling it on a busy street, or maybe ask stores if you could leave them a few copies, maybe letting them keep a small percentage of the profits.
The only problem with this is that your work might get stolen. You should probably copyright it first, or at least mail a copy to yourself in a sealed envelope and leave it closed (the idea is that you can show a judge the date on the stamp to prove you wrote it first). This is only a very simple method that shouldn't be trusted, though.
