I sit huddled in my room, heart racing, wincing and flinching as the next explosion goes off.
Lucky me, some rather inconsiderate people who live near me decided, instead of going to a large, professionally run fireworks display, to have one of there own.
Now you know why i'm huddled.
Everytime one goes off near me i think there's been some sort of gas explosion, i HATE this time of year.
Anyway, just wanted to vent and focus on something, i hope they stop soon.

Put some good music on through ear phones. Underneath the bed clothes or thick blankets to sound proof the noise!

know how you feel. i live in a neighborhood with college kids... they like to set off fireworks year-round... pretty much any weekend will suffice.

If I really need to get some sleep, and I am awake past midnight on New Year's Day, I am SOL because of everybody firing their guns into the air.

And as far as explosions go, I live in a neighborhood that is just 5 minutes from the biggest petrochemical complex in the world, so I pretty much take explosions for granted--except for the big one in 1989 at the Phillips Petroleum plant.
