I found this site so I guess I'm autistic? Makes sense I guess. I've always felt life like an alien/outsider/observer with robot insides. I was able to connect to people when I was younger and I'm friendly with who's around me but I'm not the one to go out and make friends even though I wish I could. It's like I'm really lazy and just let everyone come to me. And I'm not that amazing so I'm alone most of the time.

When I am around people I'm just too quiet overall. My responses are pretty minimal. I can be perfectly self confident but think of nothing to say for the most part- like there is nothing to say and I've figured it all out already.

I've come to realize a lot of things in my life here. I need to get a job and make money. I need to enhance my relationships with people somehow. I need to find an awesome girl and talk to her? At 21 I've never been diagnosed with anything maybe I'm just an awkward normal person. What is this Austism/Asperger label anyway? Where is this line between normal and mentally impaired? It doesn't exist like all boundaries in our mind.

So I can't connect to people because I can't talk. It's a problem and I'll try to deal with it. I may have lost myself but I don't need prescriptions and don't need to label myself as A. It would be cool to go out there and make friends with everyone. I like being by myself now but how long before I get depressed from loneliness?

well aspergers means you are very withdrawn, awkward and like doing repetitive things. If you think you have it try googling for more info and see a psych. as for jobs a good way to get one is to get a trade. It pays a good deal higher than minimum wage, its easy to get credentials, and if you really do have AS it will be easy and fun because you would probably be good at working with your hands and spatial stuff. I'm a bike mechanic right now. It's a pretty cool job. but yeah welcome to this crazy forum. for you may want to know some terms HFA=high functioning autistic, NT=neurotypical "normal" person AS=aspergers. you may want to read up on neurodiversity and autism rights, just so you know what people are talking about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurodiversity

Um...I'm not really sure why you think you're autistic just because you found this site. You may simply be introverted. Introverted personalities are somewhat rarer than extroverts in the general population but that doesn't make them autistic. You might want to use your search engine a bit. But welcome anyway.

First of all, hello and welcome! :D
Second, if you're not sure if you have Asperger's or not, get diagnosed. Or read up on the subject if you want to learn more. There are plenty of books and articles about autism and Asperger's.
