I thought that above average spelling spills would come from the general autie trait of attention to detail.

I don't really mind, I can read it either way. Only thing that trips me up, is not using paragraphs.

Ye, I seem to spell most words as they sound to me.

I have no problems with spelling or grammar. It's very rare to find a long post from me, though.

My spelling and grammar is all over the place. Sometimes I am actually a better speller than others. I sometimes struggle at the same time even with simple words. My reading is the same way. I am all over the place. Right now its more like Dyslexia that I have but when I was younger many years ago (long ago) I actually had more traits of hyperlexia. When I was in school I usually got 100% on spelling tests. Sad to say not the ones that they test you to see where you are at in spelling to determine a grade level. Just in my early school years then it looked like I was smart. At least in spelling. Right now I lost my brainpower.

I failed spelling every year in school, and I still have trouble with it. I would write the words 10 times every night and have practice tests at home, and the words I missed were not consistent, nor were the spellings. I had one paper (4 pages front and back) in Biology that I received a 70/100 for, and all 30 points that were removed were for misspelled words, with each word worth .5 points. I love spell check and google to check my spelling.

Have to be one of the least proficiant spellers you will find. It intrafers with typing the way i think.
I think all the deficiantcys in the english languages coused this for me if you say that this is the way this is dissregad the rulls the next word maid it so I was unintrested in even learning spelling like I was sciance and math.

Um... I was ranked third place in a national spelling contest (in spanish, in my country). In english I have spelling mistakes sometimes, and must google difficult words like whether, unbeknownst and thorough (this time I didn't have to look them up, but I still had to make an effort to get them right.

Reading a lot goes a very long way in writing words properly.

I've never had trouble with spelling. I beat my elementary school in a spelling contest but choked up during the following contest involving other schools.

I think my ability to spell comes from the amount of books I read as a child (which was a lot).
