At times I'm really sensitive, and other times I am not. I cannot stand when socks have a lining or when tags touch my skin; it is very, very uncomfortable. I also have a difficult time wearing bras... I guess that's kind of weird to write, but it's true. I often have to wear ones without an underwire because they are so painful and constricting. I like soft things like stuffed animals and polyester blankets. I cannot, however, wear wool or touch sandpaper. They make me cringe. Most of the time I am overly sensitive to everything, but when I am not focusing on everything (from being overwhelmed in my environment), then I don't pay attention. If I am tired and aware of everything, I pay more attention and I tend to become hypersensitive to almost everything.
As for pain threshold... That I am not sure of. Anything other than a bone breaking isn't really a big deal. I've had huge welts and I've gotten over them without any problem. I guess I could say it's pretty high. It just depends on the day and amount of stress I am able to deal with. If I am very stressed out, chances are that pain will really bother me.
