I just got back today this morning after midnight and stayed up till five am. I was wide awake and plus I wasn't feelign well because I have the runs. Had them since Friday morning. I even had accidents and at the denver airport and boy was my mother not happy about it and I had nothing to change into so I had to stay ina messy diaper till we got back to missoula. If I knew I was still having the runs I would have worn pull ups and brought ot of extras in my back pack on the plane with me.

In mexico I snorkeled, swam, went to the chichen izta ruins, ate at hooters and senior frogs and carlos & charlies. I also shopped. I was down there with my family. I wasn't satisified when we first arrived down there because I saw the resort we were staying at was out in the middle of no where and we were not staying in cancun as I thought we were. The water tasted funny at the resort so I didn't drink it and I refused to drink lot of fluids when I was out because I wanted to cut out potty breaks. Some of the bathrooms were real disgusting down there and some you had to opay to use and it makes me mad. It was like that all over paris when i was there and boy did I wish I wore a european diaper lol. I want to do that next time I'm there or cut out the fluids again and get sick like I did down there in mexico. I got constipated so dad bought me some laxitive drink and I took it and I got the runs. I did take a little more than I should because i was so desparate to get the poop out of me. I wasn't the only one who had deareah down there. My parents had it too and my brother Ben but I'm the only one with the runs. I heard on another forum (not AS related) that there is something about their laxtives down there that causes deareah and all and some got diareah from their water or from the food or other. I'm surprised I didnt have deareah when I was lastr down there. I guess I was lucky but this time I'm unlucky.

I hope you had fun, welcome back. I had a little trip of my own and I'm sooooo tired right now. I can only guess what you must be feeling with the runs on top of that.

And stop talking that way about the third world, I live in Guatemala :( (I know what you mean about the taste of the water though)

Well sorry but is it my fault that third world countries are under corrupt/rogue regimes no it ain't my fault (its communism's) but if i had control of the third world i'd take on western civilization because of their capitalist/Globalist ways which are also destroying the third world even more!! !

F*** capitalism and F*** communism!! !

Did you go to Cozumel? I went about 3 years ago as part of a cruise, it was nice, and I would definitely go again.

Cozumel is an island off from Cancun, Chichen Itza is on the other side of the peninsula from Cancun.
I've stay on the Pacific side of Mexico, Ixtapa (sister city to Zihuatanejo) and it's beautiful. The whole "town" is on filtered water, which means you can drink it anywhere. It's very small and everything is accessible. There is snorkeling but no coral, just fish. Zih is a regular fishing town and very cheap and nice.
When people talk about "don't drink the water", they often forget about the ice and vegetables that have been rinsed and not cooked.
"Turista" (the runs) isn't from "3rd World water" but foreign bacteria, it's foreign to us and our bodies don't like it.

The Diet Coke tastes better in Mexico that it does in the U.S.

I don't know about Diet Coke, but regular Coke is still made with sugar there and it's made with High Fructose Corn Syrup here. It's tons better and worth the trip, just to drink a chilled bottle of Coke. :P

I don't know what's in Diet Coke down there, but it tastes great.

The Bay of Campeche, which is part of the Gulf of Mexico that separates mainland Mexico from the Yucatan peninsula (where Cancun and Cozumel are), was supposedly formed by the same meteor that killed off the dinosaurs--63 million years ago.

So just F*** society in general?

Hehe what most people dont understand is that capitalism is based on individualism and communism is based on collectivism they are two diametrically opposed viewpoints on opposite ends of a spectrum.

All societies lie somewhere in between.

A completely capitalistic society doesnt work and neither does a completely communistic one.

Without subscribing to both viewpoints to some degree a human society cant exist.

You have the idea that the individual is more important than the collective and the viewpoint that the collective is more important than the individual. If you dont want to believe either to some extent what else is there?

Quite right, MsMedusa ! !! When in Mexico, it's always a good bet to drink beer, not water. Besides, the alcohol content of "Corona" is so low, you won't even get 'buzzed'.
