so the other day at church, me and my friend (I'll refer to her as 'b')were standing on the patio and she was telling me how she broke her wrist. A little girl comes up and asks "what happened to your arm?" and I blurt out "oh I abused her". (this was ment as a joke and didn't come out right  ) they both stared at me and the little girl walked away. B then sais "why did you say that?" I couldn't tell if she was mad or embarrassed so I just kind of shrugged it off.
when were times wen you had an awkward Social experience? How did you deal with it? Any advice?l

I also have a tendency to just say what comes to mind. Sometimes, it can get me into trouble (If someone doesn't realize i'm joking) so I tend to just keep quiet around people that don't know me very well. I usually just brush it off, I'm fine with my comments. It's usually others that have problems with it!

I'm afraid I mostly "deal" with saying sometimes crazy things is to not be in places like churches and to not be around people who are easily offended. I seek out people with darker senses of humor and odd sensibilities.

I KNOW for a fact that I tend to say the wrong and inappropriate things around people because my "jokes" might touch a nerve, rub people the wrong way and simply insult them. Since it's something I can't correct I simply avoid people altogether because I always run the risk of they not getting me.
