Why do we so often encounter hatred / angry rejection rather than contempt / indifference as other disorders / differences / disabilities do?

I have heard reports of Neurotypicals saying that Aspies often make "annoying statements", even though I'm not sure what they mean by this.

Part of it is probably that we come off as condescending due to our large vocabularies and tendency to lecture rather than converse. It makes us look intelligent and there is therefore an expectation of social intelligence that is lacking. Other disorders make people look either obviously insane or more outwardly disabled, so it is easier for a "normal" person to dismiss what is said by the other person under the aegis of an obvious neurological malfunction.

We look normal and so dont elicit sympathy

And we are too open and trusting

They are [unconsciously] slapping [guiding] us into a more suitably guarded reality.... commiserate with their own state of readiness/wariness

'do you know what time it is, choir boy?'

what outofplace said, and

Aspies can be misinterpreted as being the ones showing contempt towards others.
Thats a strong word, but it may seem that a lack of interest in others is a judgement on their worth, rather than - a lack of interest. If you sense you are held in contempt, or someone feels you aren't worth talking to, you have an emotional response. NTs read meaning where there is no meaning, and if they dont know anything about AS then the Aspie gets unfairly judged.

Its why its seems to be quite a good idea to disclose AS to me.
People should be better educated.

This has brought me to an important epiphany.

We need to be cuter.

All Autistic people should now go to the store and buy sparkly toy cat ears, cat tails, and cute mittens. Verbal ones should also stock up on helium to make our voices cuter whenever we attempt to talk to people. Problem solved!

That would only serve to elicit hostility, not sympathy. Well, they might think you're brain damaged, and then feel sympathy for you. Otherwise, you're asking for ridicule.

I think maybe they read our blank facial expressions and lack of overtly friendly behaviors as hostility, because that's what it would mean coming from an NT, so they strike first. We're not actively trying to make an alliance with them, therefore we must be planning to attack them, plus a lot of what we say, meaning no harm, is blunt enough to sound like a challenge. We don't really come off as disabled, just unfriendly. Something like that, I guess.

I think this was sarcasm. However, there are new anthropomorphic kitty ears (From Japan! Who'da guessed that?) you wear that also read your brain waves and act accordingly. It could be just the thing for those of us whose faces are expressionless! All anyone would have to do is look at the ears to know what you are feeling. (and yes, while what I posted is 100% true, this was intended as sarcasm as well.)

Usually disabilities trigger all sort of sympathetic responses from liberals but often Asperger's rubs them as right-wing.

Which is sort of neat. I prefer contempt over pity.

Are you sure they receive contempt?
I'm pretty sure that normals believe that people with mental disorders should be locked away in psych wards cause

It doesnt have to be this way.

Normals are mostly ignorant and fearful due to not knowing.... whats assburgers?? I'd say at least 50% of Kiwis have never even heard the word. EVER

Acceptance will come easily with familiarisation and normalisation. Currently we are aliens. We may stay that way a while, depending on world leaders action or inaction

Thanks a bunch Autism Speaks
