Currently trending my days in shutdowns
Much of my life is shutdown quite literally
. My mother has treatable cancer, so I had to give up a lot of interests to put her in proper care
. I used to do DJing as a hobby with extensive music collection. Within this sudden transformation, even thought it's been eight months, I have been feeling my brain slowly retreating every day with extended hours of gaming, and constant clinging to interests and emotions whenever I talk to people. I tried moving forward with this but the plans are difficult when I don't have a car or a job, though I am applying.
Considering that everyone is different, I might as well try explaining myself
. I am a mild aspie, with traits that bring forth a mostly obsessive nature
. Give me a problem that I could feel committed to and I will be pulling all nighters for the solution, I am enthusiastic into technology for the most part.
But with my friends doing studying and moving away, my lifestyle has changed at the worst time. I have no one to really be with to the point where if people asked me "How are you?" the only response is some pretty depressing stuff in regards to being alone and doing nonsense like gaming. This is the winter, I feel forced to do this and when I try to steer into a different direction the result is the same.
I am conflicted, and feel helpless as a result. So I have been shutting down a lot recently by gazing on the computer screen for hours on end and only that. This action is completely unintended, and it wears me out until somebody gets my attention. In this gaze I tend to be self-conscious, sapping on my motivation and confidence to do anything beneficial. So I really need some advice on this, please.
I was just lucky to find this site! Thanks for your time in hearing me out! Now it's my turn to listen...
