Foods for aiding Asperger's
People with Asperger's suffer abnormally high levels of anxiety and depression on average. It's not just us though. There is a widespread problem with mental illness, unhappiness and aggression. Here's two simple but very important tips for you on how to eat for happiness and health that work for me and are almost certainly scientifically proven.
Not all fruit and vegetables are equal! Yes, it's important to have many in your diet but be selective...
Eat green beans regularly! Also called French beans because they're native to France. Green beans, while quite low in calories (just 43.75 calories in a whole cup), are loaded with nutrients — an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, manganese, vitamin A, dietary fiber, potassium, folate, and iron. And, green beans are a good source of magnesium, thiamin, riboflavin, copper, calcium, phosphorus, protein, omega-3 fatty acids and niacin.
The vitamin K provided by green beans — a spectacular 122.0% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) in one cup — is important for maintaining strong bones. Vitamin K is known to be needed to maintain proper bone density and to coagulate blood. It plays a key role in proper development of the fetus.
Careful which cooking oil your food is cooked in! Olive oil is the only common cooking oil you should use. Besides the common ones butter and coconut oil are both fine too, especially coconut oil which has plenty of health benefits but cooking with those two is a little more tricky. All the other cooking oils - rapeseed oil/vegetable oil, sunflower oil don't have a healthy balance of omega-3 and omega-6 and therefore lead to anxiety, depression, weight gain, irritability, aggression, indigestion and cancers. If you don't prepare all your own food be vigilant! For example don't think a packet of chips (or crisps to British people) is good for you unless you check it's been cooked in a healthy cooking oil. Don't believe any packet that says sunflower oil is good for you for example.
Be a bit more like a French or Italian person! They eat almost everything in olive oil or butter. They don't consume many sugary snacks like Coca Cola. They have energy, are lively and sociable. There's no one-size-fits-all solution but every little helps and it's a fact that less Italians and less French people are unhappy and unhealthy than most other advanced nations. Incorporating some of their habits into your diet is even more important than for NTs. We need all the help we can get, we were dealt a bad hand of cards in terms of the social skills game of poker.

Eh, these really apply to all people, not just people on the spectrum. But I do think both my son and I act more autistic when we have low blood sugar.
What's wrong with peanut oil? I use peanut oil in all my stir-frys and indian food. It has a higher smoke point so you can really cook meat perfectly in a wok.
I think one of the most perfect foods out there is oatmeal. It's high in fiber, protein, complex carbs, and helps keep blood sugar good until lunchtime.
