i get it all the time when im with people, i dont get asked direct questions like "when u going out" people will ask my mum right next to me "when she going out" , same for other things "does she want a cup of tea?" it like "HELLO IM HERE!! !! !" totally doesnt help to build my social skills, i think people think im really socially awkward so would rather not ask, and this is my own siblings :(

I hate it when I'm sitting in my room and I hear people talking then my name mentioned, then I hear my mum stand right outside my door and say, ''yeah, hold on, I'll ask her'' (referring to me) and then they say something then my mum says again, ''yeah, I'll just ask her'', so I quickly open the door and say, ''yes, what was you going to ask me?''

That would happen to me when I was younger, I would hear my mom say my name on the phone and I'd be convinced she was saying things about me that I wouldn't approve of, and that she believed I couldn't hear her. I confronted her when I was 12 and demanded to know who she had been talking to about me and what they'd been saying about me. Turned out my grandma had just called because she had forgot whether my birthday was first or my brother's, since his was only six days later than mine in the month. I felt terrible for suspecting my mother of saying terrible things about me for years to a mysterious stranger, who I also assumed was a wealthy Asian businessman who could have me committed to a mental hospital with very few questions asked, for some reason. Since then I decided it would only bother me if I heard a stranger do it, which they don't do, so no problem.
