I'm wondering who are the leading scientists in autism research who can tell me something about the way people in the autistic spectrum learn and which methods are most effective in studying a subject (especially when the subject causes anxiety). I would also like to know about what happens when a person with "mild" autism is confronted by a task that has caused anxiety before and what happens when this person is exposed to failure after failure and what this does to an autistic person's psyche and study ability. What is needed for recovery?

I'm looking for scientists/researchers because I would like to have their statements to be used in a court case that I am having against my former university for failing to provide me with proper assistance.

By the way, my type is PDD-NOS. No one notices at first that I'm even close to being autistic... but I am.

Some of the top autism researchers are:
Simon Baron-Cohen
Fred Volkmar
Geraldine Dawson
Nancy Minshew

These are some of the best of the best, though, so I don't know how realistic it is for you to obtain a personalized court statement from them. Good luck!

This may be something that you have to pay a psychologist for, to be an expert witness.

I have a psychologist but I don't believe he's an expert on learning. Nonetheless, I would like to have researchers give a statement so it adds in court.

Thanks very much! Are they experts on the issues that I mentioned in my first post?

Another name would be Uta Frith.

Check out their research (search them in google scholar). See if it's relevant. Not knowing more about your case in particular, I can't say how it might apply.
