I agree with the above poster.
However, I recommend using a stronger one than what you would normally feel comfortable with, especially if you are going to use them to de-stress.
I can't tell you how many times my Thera band has saved me from a meltdown - it's so strong that I pull it when I'm angry and all the tension just LEAVES.
I find that only the strong ones do that. I rarely use my yellow one, which is the weakest. I currently use red if I'm on the verge of a meltdown, and green if I'm already in one.
But that's just me.
