hi
I wrote a website about asperger syndrome and want to hear your opinion
http://www.aspergersyndromebooks.com/ca ... -articles/
click on ASD articles above the headline "do autistic people love animals" and you'll find other posts on the right side.
it's still a very small website, but i intend to write many more posts/pages and add pictures later.
thanks.

I agree with your nickname! :-)

But I can't visit your website now, I've to go downstairs feed the strays.

The site seems okay but it also seems to basically just be a mostly personal blog and except when that's done in a particularly humourous style like with, say, Hyperbole and a Half, I'm just not interested. Still, it seems well made enough although your article on symptoms goes into both prosopagnosia and some very weird ideas about strength which really doesn't have much to do with AS. Occasionally prosopagnosia is comorbid with AS but I have no idea where this strength thing is coming from. AS is a neurological disorder, it does not directly affect you physically. The part about gender is really closer to aspies simply having less sense of gender and being closer to gender neutral compared to NT people since we're just not so good at grasping social norms, although there are of course transgender aspies.

As for the section on social phobias, it's a huge wall of text and I have no personal experience with social phobia so I won't comment on it. I love animals personally and can read them perfectly; if I was as good with people as I am with animals I'd be some kind of celebrity. Every animal I've ever met loves me pretty much instantly: Dogs roll over in less than a minute, cats let me hold them, birds perch on my shoulder and even my head. I don't know if that's because of AS or simply a normal trait, however.
