I don't know, but it sounds like he needs to find a better use of his time

I couldn't tell you whether he is an Aspie or not, but it sounds like a fun challenge he's set himself.

Well at the time he started the challenge there was 462 screens in the country.

Since then local to me a 13 screen cinema has opened plus two cinemas in Dublin city a 6 screen and a 4 screen.

Another 8 screen complex is opening soon just outside Dublin.

So that is 31 more screens onto his challenge that I know about that is 495 screens. :D

An that is the ones I know about.

Hey all,
I'm the guy who's doing the cinema quest to see a movie on every screen in the Republic Of Ireland.

At the moment there are 468 screens in the Republic and right now, I've seen a movie on 144 of them in Dublin, Kildare, Wexford, Wicklow, Donegal, Kilkenny Tipperary, and Louth. I still have a long way to go, in more than one sense of the word, but I'm making progress.

The ultimate goal behind Republic of Cinema is to be able to write a book, a tour guide of Ireland focused around the cinemas. The book will be called The Emerald Aisle Seat. But apart from that, it's a fun challenge that always leaves me with something to look foward to.

When I started there were 437 screens, but obviously that number has grown. And to be honest, this is the first I've heard about a new 8 screen cinema opening up. But I hope that it's an Odeon :)

To answer the question that started this thread, I'm not an Aspie.

Thanks for the interest, it's always great to pick up new readers :)
