Pretty simple question, I appear to be at a stage in my life where I can get by in the nt world, I have a job, friends and potentially a girlfriend.

My question is if you could go without fellow aspies would you?

That's a tricky one for me, seeing how many aspies are in my life... I suppose if they were all suddenly not aspie, I could live with that? But I like my family too much to be without them, so if they were suddenly just taken away forever I would have a complete and utter breakdown and probably kill myself.
In a better way to put it, I don't care if people are aspie or not to be around them... o.O I get by well enough in the world that I've not gone off the deep end.

Stoek, I'm fifty, have AS, and have never met another aspie face-to-face--at least nobody who would admit to it. I've gotten along in the normal world because that's all I've got.

As far as this website goes, I would be the less without it since I have learned a lot about myself. But it's not the same as knowing aspies in real life.

I can go without fellow Aspies now as they don't do anything that, if removed, would threaten my basic survival.
I'd miss them if they left, though.

That depends on whether or not I'm married to one, and I don't know that for sure.

I don't base life on people.

I get sad like most people if people leave, but that's just showing that I do indeed feel.

If my Dad is, as we suspect, an aspie, then my answer is no.

Would my life be complete without other Aspies?

NO.

Why you ask?

My girlfriend is an Aspie

MY LIFE IS NOT FULFILLED WITHOUT HER LOVE ;-;

But, fortunately, I have it in abundance (Although you can never have enough :3)

As I wasn't diagnosed until over 60, this would seem irrelevant to me. I do, however, know a couple of fellow aspies and strongly suspect there are others in my family so I suppose no, I would not go without.

Without all the weird aspie friends and girlfriends my life would be boring and emptier.
The NT world has its own shortcomings, I have lived there before

I'd start to feel like an alien without my aspie friends.
