I was wondering if anyone had any information with regards to this new publication? I don't have aspergers, I have NLD... and I am wondering if the DSM-V will be including NLD into the autistic spectrum...? NLD and aspergers are so similar, yet so different the last few years it has gone back and forth it is an autistic spectrum thing, it is a non autistic spectrum thing... Reason I am bringing this up? I want someone to make up their mind! In any case... I am just wanting to read through it... just to read through it.

Any information would be appreciated!

I have NLD as well and from what I understand, it's not going to be included in the new DSM.

Most NLDers who don't meet AS criteria will probably meet SCD criteria, however. Maybe NLD will be represented as SCD, developmental coordination disorder and mathematics disorder. Not as good as actually having it's own diagnosis, but at least that would qualify you for help with the major issues.

I also have NLD and I was hoping it would make it into the DSM 5. I wonder why it's not recognized in the DSM but it is in the ICD. Ettina you're probably right about most NLDers meeting the criteria for SCD if not ASD. There will probably be a lot of NLD'ers represented with Leaning Disability NOS as there are now.
