hey all, you may notice little green underlines under some words on the site. When you hover over these green links, a little bubble comes up inviting you to search for those select terms using the Microsoft Live search engine. I know microsoft is evil and all but they're paying us every time someone uses the service and it doesn't seem to be that annoying.

Anyway, I hope this doesn't offend you all. It's on by default but you can turn it off if you like.

you know if them and google could only find more interesting words to catch onto....

I mean I KNOW that's the whole trick of the thing, to find the relevant bits, and software is bad at that, but I've only ever seen it hit probably Xteen times in every google ad or intellitxt I've ever seen

this is sort of like the snap feature we were running for a while. I think this is a lot cooler than those irritating banner ads.

Actually, a company called vibrant media is the one that finds what is relevant. Microsoft pays them and vibrant media pays wrong planet. apparently google and HP also buys "ads" so I'm thinking the links will sometimes be for different search engines or products.

I think this is a better form of advertising and is more helpful and relevant to the wrongplanet members while not creating annoying blinking pictures and sounds like some banner ads have.

How do you turn them off? I don't like them. I find them an irritation.

you should be able to turn them off on this page but I think that option isn't enabled right now. I will tell the people at vibrant media to turn the user opt out feature back on.

Not sure if its my screwy computer mouse but seem like when a page finishes loading on WP it makes my mouse icon pulse many times and my address bar pulses many times.
