Not being friendly with people
Is this strange? If there is someone i don't know and nothing on the outer surface seems appealing i don't see the point in talking with them and having to make small chat because i don't care about them, same with being in a shop i used to not even look at the cashier or say anything but mumble thanks, now i make eye contact say hi and thanks, thanks very much, but i don't see the point of being overly friendly make chit chat if it's just some random shop not near me because i don't care for what they have to say unless they seem interesting, though i chat with people at the corner shop but i go in there at least a few times everyday.
That sounds much like me, L0st0ne. Only reason I can see, would be to practice so you're better skilled to talk to people you actually find interesting.

Not here. But, there, well ... my theory is neurotypical protocol operates on updates of verbal indications of hostility & passitivity. When you say "blah yak so forth," that means "I am not planning an attack." Of course, this isn't accurate but the NTs seem to want this language loop. I have little to no patience for it, too.

You don't need to chit-chat, really. It just makes people feel better sometimes to get some more social interaction in throughout their day, it makes the establishment seem more concerned with their customers if the employees are friendly, and cashiers probably get bored back there all day.
I do care about people. I just feel too shy to strike up conversation. The right words don't enter my head, and I always have this constant fear of speaking to them and they don't listen and unintentionally ignore me. I have seen NTs do that my whole life, as though their ears aren't always open to everything. Perhaps their filters to be able to block out certain noises sometimes gets a socially awkward person's voice (like me) mixed up in their ''filters'' and it also gets blocked out, I don't know. I suppose I only have very small filters, so generally my ears are open to every voice and I never not hear when somebody says something to me.
