This is the kind of thing that pisses me off on the internet (see picture below). I do not like this man and he has messaged me before with similar messages which I deleted that time. IE replying to an email with "you could at least try and pretend to be human and send me a reply"

He only sent me the email the other day and I have been out for most of today.

This kind of thing is happening a lot on a number of sites and I am growing sick of it. I am going to be saving all details from now on so that I can assess if its one person, more than one person, the same people or there are just a lot of god damned weirdos out there.

Ok so I may not be the most popular person in the world but there is no excuse for being so nasty. This is why I get so upset...and no, I don't think its funny.

What drives a person to be so spiteful?

Bumble; He is a jerk. Oh well. What concerns me is that he upset you so much you felt a need to change your avatar. That he hurt you enough to trigger that "nobody really likes me" feeling. You are well liked here. and even if you were not, that person was wrong to send you those p.m.'s. He's probably just an idiot with a crush on you, who got angry when you did not return his affections. So, you can just add your voice to the refrain of the millions of women who say "How come all the scary ,rude jerks fall for me and I can't even get a decent guy to notice I exist."

@woodster

Idid not blank him, he has emailed me similarly before and I do not find him attractive. He is pushy and spiteful and I would never go out with someone like that.

I do not spend every day all day on the internet and have been out all day and have not been online to answer anyone. I do not have a mobile phone, I refuse to have one as I can't get any peace and quiet when people keep sending me texts so I I can't sign onto the internet when I am out. I don't carry a netbook with me either and the only internet access I have when I am not in the house is via the local library (which I did not visit today).

I did not get back home until 5 this evening and then had to shower and cook some food to eat and put some washing in so I have clean gym clothes for tomorrow and change my bedsheets etc.

I am under no obligation to answer everyone who emails me online anyway and people need to learn not to expect instant replies. People have things to do off the computer. I do not know this person, they are not a close friend, they are just some stranger on a dating site.

Hurt his feelings? I am not his lover or anything I have never even met the man.

Also it can often take me days, weeks or even months sometimes to answer emails, even with people I want to respond to.

Sometimes I am busy, don't have time to answer it and forget about the email (either it gets lost amongst many emails in my inbox or I don't get any mails for a long time and forget to check back).

Sometimes I do not know what to say and have to think of my reply (this can take hours sometimes)

Sometimes I am not in the mood for speaking to anyone. I am too tired for chit chat so I leave my emails to another day.

Sometimes I am just going to bed when someone mails me and I will not answer emails right before sleeping. I need to wind my brain down at night, not give her things to do that wind her up.

Sometimes I am not online much and sometimes I am online but am doing other things and am not able to get around to answering my emails the minute I receive them.

And so on.

Emails are eminently ignorable. If someone ignored an email of mine, I might send a polite follow-up asking whether they'd got the original. If they didn't respond to that, I'd shrug and move on, although I'd probably be a bit annoyed and puzzled (but I wouldn't think any the less of them if they replied out of the blue two months later, with a crappy excuse for not replying sooner -- email communication can be like that).

It's the bloke who has over-reacted to being ignored that is the dickhead here. He's acting as though you owed him something (when you owed him nothing at all) and descending into playground behaviour in the process.

What a twat.

how about the hurt feelings you get when ANYONE ignores you.

Say he got ignored ten times today already.

thats an awfully cavalier approach to human interaction.

if someone spoke to you in the street would you blank them too?

I know i couldnt. Not because i have the energy for people but because i cant ignore people.

im sorry, maybe i dont know the full back story. How clear have you been to him? Or do you just close the door and hope he'll go away?

as for the rest about taking a while to reply to messages, letting things like feelings make your decisions for you, i hope you never end up depending upon someone like you for a reply to a message.

Do you have any rules applying to yourself that you're fanatical about upholding or are they just the ones regarding other peoples behavior? serious question, not an insult. maybe its a male thing to get offended about being ignored.

I guess it being on a dating site makes a difference somehow. you possibly do get more room to be rude without people not getting offended. its a pity feelings dont always follow the rules.

It is not realistic to expect a person to reply to everyone who emails them on a dating site.

I also have emails from people who messaged me before he did waiting for a reply. I am not sitting up all night to respond to them all, stop being ridiculous.

And someone like that is not going to take it well if I tell him I don't fancy him. He is going to attack and possibly even stalk. He is certainly not going to take it gracefully. He can't even wait a day for an email reply let alone handle a full blown rejection.

Ridiculous reply.

Are you one of my bullies...you sound like them, blaming me for other peoples bad behaviour when I did nothing wrong.

You are still failing to understand that I was not online to answer his email. I was out of the house.

Would you like me to jack into the internet telepathically or something?

Oh and it's through a dating site. In which case, this dickhead's reactions expose rather a lot of his perceptions relating to woman, wouldn't you say? "Respond to me whenever I demand, or I will consider you a worthless human being and engage in attempts to humiliate you".

Christ, what a creep -- you've definitely dodged a bullet there bumble. If the dating site in question has administrators, I would definitely consider reporting him if I were you. There are enough misogynistic twerps on the net as it is, without allowing them the freedom to act out their anti-women fantasies in a dating context too.

I changed my avatar a few days ago.

I keep meaning to finish that piece of tapestry.

why are u so offended at being told the probable reason for him getting offended, from his point of view?

it might be his age as much as anything. Older people are funnier about things like that, he might have been genuinely offended by you ignoring him. I mean, cant u understand that? he might be genuinely genuinely offended.

what does someone offending you/treating you rudely do to you? it makes u feel fully in the right to say whatever u need to say to deliver the same insult back on a person. Hence spite.

nope, i dont know u and judging from the guys messaging you're a decent amount older than me.

Geez, chill out. This guy doesn't need to be reported. He's not going to message her again if he ended with "thanks for replying, your weight is wrong too" How can he continue after that? Clearly this man does not have the patience to be sending e-mails back and forth to strangers.

It is not realistic to expect everyone on a dating site to reply to you. I sent several emails out the other day to men with profiles I liked but received no reply from them. I didn't say anything, I just concluded they were not interested and moved on.

I don't react to rude people. I raise an eyebrow and think to myself 'okay dokey then" and go on about my day.

I only react with spite when I am being continually harassed by bullies, I am not a naturally spiteful person unless I am pushed into to it with years of harassment.

And well I have to check on the bully front..they like to follow me around, just a bit.

It is at least the 2nd email he has sent me like that.

The first one I noted in text in my OP
The second was the one I copy and pasted.

There were other not quite so friendly mail from him in the past. This time he got the block button.

And I did report him as he keeps popping up and won't go away.
