Why are there so many people on this forum who don't have aspergers or at least some asperger traits?

How many is "so many"?

By what criteria do you claim that people on this forum don't have Asperger's Syndrome or at least some aspie traits?

How do you know who has traits and who does not unless the person tells you?

I expend a boatload of time here and I never see these legions of posers who dont have autism/aspergers that are said to be here.

You gotta be aware that a person will seem alot less autistic on line than IRL.

IRL they may stare at the floor and mumble in monotone, or even be mute, but here they can text as prolifically and as extravertly as any NT, and you cant tell whether they are making eye contact with you or not.

How are you able to diagnose whether they are aspie online anyway?

I'm not completely sure it's just a wild guess I suppose.

There are some NTs here but the vast majority of us are on the Spectrum. Usually the NTs make it obvious that they are.

I must admit, I used to think that people with severe cases of Autism couldn't use internet forums, and that everyone here was as high-functioning as me. Yes, I was stupid enough and ignorant enough to think like that, but I have learnt and now I understand that the members here have all sorts of ASDs, and all sorts of different life circumstances.

I remember a couple of years ago there was someone here who kept attacking those that have said that they claim benefits. Maybe he or she was jealous, I don't know. But I believe that it is wrong to judge people they don't even know about what money they get and what they don't get. By reading that, I've learnt to not give out too much private information online.

I still have somewhat severe autism.
I was non verbal until age three and then
pretty much monosyllabic until age six.
I have been spending a huge amount of
time on two large teen discussion forums
of mostly NT and have fit it fairly well there,
completely unlike real life. One member
has questioned me extensively regarding
this to get a better understanding. I think
he is a psyche student. I thought my autism
would bleed through everything I posted
but apparently it does not.
He expressed an interest in joining WP,
so that is one NT that will be aboard. But
I somehow get the feeling that he is an
undiagnosed aspie.

Plus, some people are interested in Asperger's from an academic standpoint, and others have family members affected by it.

I enjoy our NT friends here. It means they like to hang out with us.
