I can really relate to the X-men. I think it has to do with their Gifts and struggles. Sometimes I think I have an aspie gift and then it comes back to haunt me. Like my preception of detail. I notice the most beutiful things but then somedays I get bombarded by the details. or the curing debate. I don't know it just really hit close to home. What do you all think of this idea?

X-Men is deffinately one of my favorites! I totally relate to the series and I understand what you're saying. As for the cure? I think I'd be too scared of what it's like to be normal to actually get it. lol.

If you guys like the X-Men, you should really check out Heroes on NBC. I didn't watch it at first, but I caught the first episode after its hiatus a few weeks back and I ended up watching the first 11 episodes of the season over the course of the next 2.5 days.

Compared to the movies, Heroes really kicks ass. But they have much more time to tell their stories rather than just three 2-hour movies. I used to love the cartoon though, if you're not watching already you will definitely want to check it out.

I thought of checking out "Heroes" but haven't got around to it. Besides, I think it's on at the same time as one of my other fav. shows. (Shows on TV1 here -- ?)

Love X-Men, though, ever since I first saw X-Men: Evolution on the telly. It was one of those short-term obsessions that became an interest that never left me.

Gotta see X Men. I saw just a bit of it and thought it to be applicable. I think from what I saw that they are superior in various ways, but a persecuted minority. I can identify with each of those characteristics.
Gawd, it is noce to have some sort of personal hero. I will have to see X men.

I must be BATMAN! I have utility belt and now how to use it. The most useful tool I have is the internet search engine. You would be so surprised how this tool can be used to acquire information and find answer to problems; something that NTs seem to always forget to do.

Heh, heh I always wanted the Cyclops toy when I was younger.

I can relate to what you're saying, but whether 'isolation' was the reason why I watched it when I was younger, I couldn't tell you. Boys tend to like that stuff regardless.

As regarding a 'cure' – becoming NT, so to speak – my mother on a few occasions has told me she would take my AS upon herself if she could. Though like yourself I view it conversely as a gift and curse, given my mood at the time, I think I'd keep it: if I was NT, so to speak, I wouldn't have the perspective of the people who are essentially the 'underdogs' of society; I wouldn't have that 'rounded perspective' and I would be, bluntly putting it, as ignorant as some (not all) of the people prone to filthy looks, stupidity and no empathy. They can’t be bothered to understand, they just ASSUME various things.

If that makes sense...
