Do you get along better with your peers' parents?

Do your peers' parents like you more than your peers do? Back at school, being a weirdo, I wasn't popular at all and had very few friends. Strangely enough the parents of a few peers who usually ignored me seemed to like me/approve of me. They thought I was a "nice girl," a decent, quiet kid who was respectful and diligent in her studies, and encouraged their kids to befriend me. Their kids were more knowing. They knew I was a weirdo and misfit. Even now when I bump into old acquaintances, it is my schoolmates' parents who are pleased to see me rather than my schoolmates. Older people think I have character; the younger generation think I have no personality.

Yes, this describes my experience too. I did such a good job of 'faking' polite and respectful behavior, all the parents loved me (and the kids didn't so much! Haha)

Yes, me too. Even in my 30s it's still the same. Not sure what the reason is.
