Does anyone else have or notice the following?

For me it feels like my "aspieness" comes in waves. Some days are awesome and I can make it through most of the day without my aspie traits getting on my nerves.

But then there are days / hours / spurts when it hits me hard.
The odd mind patterns, non-standard body motions, and superman like sensitivities... all of it... make me want to crawl out of my skin and run away as fast as I can.

:wall:

I feel more like that with depression. It comes in waves. Sometimes I feel happier and find it easier to push all my miseries to the back of my mind and focus on the bigger picture and just be thankful that I'm alive and healthy. Then other times I feel like the loneliest person on the planet and feel disliked by people and start worrying and feeling worthless and feeling like I can't go on suffocating as a girl all alone in this NT world. That's when I start pouring my heart out on WP and boring everyone.

All humans have emotional rhythms. For us on the autistic spectrum, the waves have a greater amplitude. It takes great courage and inner strength to abide the down times and to control the good times.
