I am amazed this article was written in 1986. The article discussed sensitives as the main issue, the word normal is put in quotes and at there was an argument for what we would describe as neurodiversity today. I had no clue these concepts were known at that time.

So how is it 28 years later most professional discussion of autism revolves around "social deficits" and "disorders" when this information was known back then?
