So I have found this medication I think will help with my ADHD, Im taking concerta now but I want to change my medication. I have done all the research and feel confident this is a better drug. However every time I want to schedule an appointment she is always booked for 2 or 3 weeks and I do call well in advance. If want to change my adhd medication to something different, would it be ok to expect my doctor to change my medication w if I asked her to do so over the phone without an appointment? I'm changing from a non schedule 1 drug which is the type of drug I am taking now. I am sick of waiting, always being patient(pun pun pun) and then getting stonewalled by scheduling and the bureaucracy. Is it reasonable to ask my doctor to prescribe something new?

It's perfectly reasonable to ask the question, but it's also perfectly reasonable that the doctor might want to see you in person.

I interrogate my doctor at every opportunity, they might prefer to deal with me strictly over the phone
