Do you ever share threads? If you do, why do you share them?

I would not know how.

But I think that would mean having friends, so it sounds nice.

You mean like on FB or whatever, nope.
I might if I ever set up a social media account, maybe.

I just laughed because I though it would be an interesting way to send a message to a parent.
"What to you think about my mom being over controlling?"

On a few occasions, yep. If I'm in a discussion and people are talking about something that I remember others discussing in another thread, I might share a link to add those perspectives to the discussion. For example, let's say I'm talking to someone who believes that autistic people are all asexual, like me--I might link them to a thread where people are talking about how autism affects their romantic relationships. Or let's say someone asks what stimming feels like--I might link to a thread where people are talking about that. Usually if I share a thread with somebody it'll be because it has a nice collection of information that I think they'd find useful.

I have before, copied links and shared them on IRC, where I was in conversation with people who the conversation would be relevant to.
