Well, the closest thing I remember is that we once had a flat tire in death valley, and I was lamenting about our limited prospects. She actually took a picture of me, hands outstretched, beside the trailer, mid sentence. I was like 4 or 5.

When I was a kid I use to chew on my hair and clothes. I was also a hand flapper. Let me think now...hmm I think there was a video of me doing that once actually. Might have to track it down.

Like, for example, my mom told me I used to lick counter tops. I don't ever remember doing that!
Ha! Well, did she mean that you licked spilled juice off of counter tops? I definitely used to do that. Wiping it up with a sponge would be such a waste!

I used to stoop and watch ants all day from the minute I was let out of the house until the time I was physically brought back in.
I also used to rip sheets into thousands of pieces if they made me sleep with a cover.
Edit: I forgot to include the really 'big thing' that happened... I was unable to handle regular school and I was kicked out of school in grade 1 and put into a 'special school' for kids with disabilities. I was then mainstreamed again in the middle of grade 2. The reason they gave was that I wasn't performing up to the standards my brother was. I still remember my teacher getting down on my level, and holding my head and looking directly in my eyes to get my attention. It freaked me out so much I threw up the rest of the day.

Many things. I used to hit other children at school, not sure why.
I used to wheel a pram around and collect either lots of snails or lots of woodlice in it.
I would flout the rules at school to spin round and round the poles there.
I had an obsession with stickers, and had covered every bit of my wardrobe with them. I remember being told I could put them there but nowhere else.
I personally remember spending time in my bedroom as a child. playing music and dancing round and round in a circle, pretending other children were holding my hand and dancing too.
I did a lot of odd things. I also liked to wear the same Ghostbusters tracksuit every single day and it took effort for my mother to persuade me to let her wash it.

I used to lick the raindrops off the plastic cover of my pram while being pushed around in it(I actually remember doing this). Also I kept a pet potato for a while, and a pet piece of wire, and pet earwig that I kept in a film cannister thingy with a bit of lettuce

I hope you made sure the "teacher" got a taste of that!

Yes, when I was young there were times I'd be pretending, like whenever I had seen something on tele(television) and would use my hands as a means of characterizing what I had seen on tv. I'm not sure if this sense here yet, that was and still is a trait of mine that sometimes can be seen just not in the presence of others as, I'd rather not be embarrassed or look asburdly nutty . In other ways people have sometimes looked upon me as being a teenager from the notion of my vocabulary or speech patterns. Honestly, does all of my posts here resemble that? For, I do try to express myself the best way I can so, I'm not worried with being myself here however, in the "NT" world that is a different matter though .

In honesty, I am trying to get answers as to how odd I was or was not from those who knew me at school as a child, as for the most part, I seem to have successfully blocked out large chunks of my childhood. I am told that I 'stood out' and that I never seemed able to relax and be myself and tried too hard to make friends. I don't know if that is an autistic thing, but it is true, I have just never been able to naturally make friends.
