Am I the only person here who doesn't shave regularly?

I find it hard to start a shaving ritual as I loathe shaving. First, I can't use the regular disposable blade razors with the shaving cream because that results in my face cut up and feeling on fire.

So, I have to use the electric razor. Problem is, if I have too much stuble, It pulls on my hair and hurts. So you're wondering "Why don't you shave every morning you lazy bum?"

That brings my next point. If there is NOT enough stuble I get razor burn and then it starts to really itch after a few hours. It looks as if I were scalded by hot water.

So, does anyone have a similar problem? Anyone have a possible suggestion? Any comments?

I have trouble shaving, but that just might be because my mirror broke.

Its very irritating to shave. But at some point my facial hair gets very irritating anyway and I'm forced to shave it off.

What I want to know is how people manage to shave without going against the grain. I can take a new Mach 3 blade and still have to go against the grain to get a smooth shave.

I use a Gillette Fusion, and my shave is very smooth. But I get irritated skin every time I use it.

For a while there I bought new razors when they were introduced, because THEY came with REAL old fashoined razor blades! The blade manufacturers must be GENIUSES!! !! !(sarc) HOW do you make a blade that looks sharp and can cut skin, paper, and hair, and yet DULL 1/3 of the way through the shave!?!?!? I SWEAR! I have cleaned them out with water, an old toothbrush, and even a WATERPICK!! !! ! STILL, they are not NEARLY as sharp as they were minutes ago.

Anyway, I shave when it gets TOO noticable, and I am going for work. This means every 1-3 days. On the weekend it is more like 1-4. I shaved on thursday, and went into work on friday with VERY noticable stubble. Tonight, I have to shave for work tomorrow. I am SCARED to shave in the morning, because dull blades mean pain and bleeding.

BTW I shave in EVERY direction(INCLUDING "against the grain"). When I shave, my goal is to make it look like I have NOTHING to shave.

Steve

Ironically enough, I'm not fussy about my stuble when it's there, but when I shave I am a hyper-perfectionist and every little pieve of hair MUST come off. It has to look as if there ISN'T even facial hair growing.

I wonder if this is an Aspie trait. I either don't give a s**t OR it has to be 100% perfect. If it isn't 100% perfect, it might as well be down to my knees!

Of course, I **AM** formally diagnosed with OCD, so it COULD be that too...

Well, it is all look. I one time grew a FULL BEARD. I should have kept the picture, as I may not ever do it again. Anyway, THEN I HAD to have stubble for a time. I NEVER want to touch people beyond normal expectations. Usually, that means a HANDSHAKE at MOST. You've got me why anyone should care. about stubble.

POLITICS! 8-(

Hey, I guess you gals don't want to be left out! Starbuline talked about shaving and she is ALSO female, and like 15. Some 15 year old BOYS don't even have to shave. Well, if she DOES feel like shaving her legs or whatever, I hope they give you gals better blades. I seem to get all the rejects! At least your hair probably isn't as hard to cut.
