Okay, so, this is one that's on my mind for a variety of reasons. It was pointed out to me on a forum just now.... apparently irritating people.... and others have said similar things every now and then as well.
By this I mean the tendancy to talk about certain subjects repetitively. Not so much repeating the EXACT same line over and over again or whatever... that's a whole seperate concept. I mean like, say, with gaming.... I tend to talk about PC games alot. And going along with that, a general dislike of consoles. These things, I'll mention over and over and over.... even when people are like "Gah, we get it already, you dont like such-and-such, why always talk about it?!" I'll tend to just keep doing it anyway. It can actually become frustrating, like any other damn habit that I'm compelled to do.
It's very contextual, too. The PC game bit only happens on gaming forums of the "general" type. If discussion is happening about, say, travelling, I'll bring up Florida/beaches/sand/ocean/heat about a billionty times. During winter, it's constantly about how much I hate winter and why it sucks (and I mean REALLY constantly, for that one). Stuff like that.
Anyone else do this? Or have any thoughts and experiences related to it? Im curious to see how this sort of thing might affect others here and how it plays out for them.
