I saw a therapist some years ago, didn't really accomplish much other the diagnosis. I have an appointment tomorrow actually. I think I'm going in with a much better attitude than when I did when I was 15 or 16, I actually want to be helped so we'll see. I'm not too sure about taking medications, I don't want to take anything with bad side effects.
the side effects of drugs all depends on the individual, so even though there are drugs out there with bad side effects such as anti epileptics and antipyschotics, they dont happen to many people, its the smaller side effects that are more common such as dry mouth, headaches when first starting the drug, insomnia or the total opposite when first starting the drug etc.
its worth a try if have got significant problems with something, upon starting the highest dose of an SNRI anti depressent called cymbalta;it only caused extra insomnia, headaches that werent helped by painkillers and restless legs, but two weeks later they were all gone.
