Hi everyone my name is Kristin. I've been reading posts here for awhile but have been to lazy to register lol
I'm a female with Aspergers. I go to a special transition School for young adults with communication disorders. I like it but no one there is really like me and I struggle with making friends with anyone. I always feel stuck in the middle some of the other students are more outwardly affected by thier disorders and thier are very few girls. Because if this staff except more from me sometimes I get so frustrated because they don't see my struggles because I don't show my issues as outwardly as some I'm a pro at flying under the radar for my whole life and because of this I've suffered bad depression from trying to exist in a world not designed for people with autism. staff tell me to socialize with my peers but they don't understand how badly I stick out I don't fit in with them and I don't fit in with nt friends either because I don't like things girls my age are expected to like. Because of this I am very lonely, I try so hard to talk to my peers but they don't like the things I do or they gossip ( which makes me very mad) I often feel like I'm floating in between the nt world and the autistic world and that no one gets it!! ! I love my school but I wish I could feel like I belong somewhere. Anyway wanted to say hi and describe my current life, thanks for listening and I'm very glad I've gotten around to joining this group!! :lol:
