So I have been apart of a couple of groups that over time disbanded due to low population and such. I was wondering on average how long do you guys think a group lasts? like I was part of a meditation group it lasted 5 years before there were to few people to make it work. Also I am part of an anime group and if we don't get new members i can see it disbanding in a year maybe 2. I have also attended other groups that were on there way out. So thoughts on how long a group lasts?

you inferred it yourself. however long there are enough people to make it work in terms of passion for whatever it is the club is for or mere population or topic to talk about.
like if there was a club about community, (tv show, my favourite) then i would be able to make it go for years. but eventually we would run out of stuff to talk about because i don't like talking
to other people and also community was canceled after the fifth season and we would run out of debatable topics or things to point out as there is a limited amount of episodes.

"So I have been apart of a couple of groups that over time disbanded due to low population and such."

this is where you inferred that a group needs a large population to continue
