Possible Dyspraxia?
I am 20 years old and in my 3rd year of college (university). This is my first year doing labs like biology and chemistry. I've noticed that my fine motor skills are very poor compared to the other students in lab.
I know I am uncoordinated. I can't play sports well and trip over things rather frequently I didn't think about it much then but in high school I had my friend help me tie my shoes a lot because if I did it, they wouldn't stay tied. I figured out how to keep them tied consistently probably in 11th or 12th grade. I did not get my driver's license until I was 19 years old because I didn't have the gross motor skills or ability to accurately judge distances. I still have a bit of trouble with that but it is controlled enough that I am now a decent driver.
My question is, does Asperger's account for this level of motor coordination impairment or could I also have dyspraxia? I've taken a couple online tests that say it is probable but only one of those tests had an option for me to say I have an ASD as well.
I have a follow up appointment with disability services at my school in a couple weeks for ASD accommodations. Should I bring up dyspraxia?

It used to be that dyspraxia (a.k.a. developmental coordination disorder) could not be diagnosed in people with pervasive developmental disorders (a.k.a. ASDs), but the DSM-5 got rid of that rule.
There are definitely those of us whose lack of coordination goes beyond what's normal for Asperger's. I'm one of 'em. I have both diagnoses now.
I think you should bring it up.
